AUSTIN STONE

2018-2019 Choral Fellow

Austin Stone, a senior at Eastern Connecticut State University, is majoring in vocal performance with a focus as a tenor in the bell canto style. Austin won the 2018 Connecticut chapter auditions for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition, and placed second in the New England region, giving him the opportunity to compete in the national auditions in Las Vegas. He is currently the music director of ECSU’s all male a cappella group Low-Key.

EMMA PELTIER

2018-2019 Choral Fellow

Emma Peltier, soprano, is also a music student at Eastern Connecticut State University. This is not the first opportunity she has had to sing under the direction of Ehren Brown; she was his choral student at East Hampton High School. Now a sophomore at ECSU, majoring in music with a concentration in vocal performance, Emma is involved in many ensembles including Opera Workshop, Chamber Singers, and Jazz Band. She is also Vice President of SNATS (Student National Association of Teachers of Singing) and secretary of Music Society, both music clubs at Eastern. Emma is excited to be performing with The Vernon Chorale as a Choral Fellow, and is grateful for the chance to sing beautiful pieces with an amazing choir. Emma credits her recent growth as a choral singer to the excellent direction of Ehren Brown and the lovely voices and support from the Chorale members.
