Our final concert of the 2012-13 season has become a tradition. Assistant Conductor Christopher Wasko wields the baton as we perform works by Stroope, Tallis, Thompson and Gibbs. Also, our members shall perform solo and ensemble works of their own choosing.

Contemporary Classics

Join us for a program of current and future classics with guest artists the EO Smith HS Chamber Singers. Soar with us as we perform Eric Whitacre’s “Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine.” Reflect with the solemn tones of Samuel Barber’s “Agnus Dei.” Also, enjoy works by Johannes Brahms, James Mulholland, Jason McCoy and local composer Colin Britt.

What they're saying

On Sunday, February 15, in Vernon an extraordinary thing happened. A concert. A concert that became a meeting of hearts and minds… that this even was scheduled at all was notable, overdue, and admirable… the singing was rousing.

– Keith Burris, Journal Inquirer

…an exceptional level of technical artistry:  strong, assured singing with professional-caliber blend, intonation, vocal color, phrasing, balance and diction…

The presentation of an all Mozart festival with two of his major offerings as part of the program says volumes for the membership of the Vernon Chorale, the Vernon/Rockville community, and corporate support of quality choral music in our part of the Nutmeg State.

… loved Ehren’s energy and it was really fun to watch him, and that at some spots it was like watching Gandalf conjuring fire.

… but it was just like this big warm embrace
